Perhaps I should call it the dog farm. We're back out on Hoo Shoo Too! We now have access to a 5-acre farm, complete with lakes, the Amite river, and a bunch of horses, pigs, and other fauna. The dogs love running through the pasture. There's plenty of room for everyone!
We have some new residents. There's Muffy, who is a cute little puffy pom-pom. She is way to prissy for the farm, sometimes her feet get muddy oh no! Muffy is blind because of granulomas in her corneas. Bo-bo's on her eye skin, in other words. We're hoping that the eye drops she was prescribed by Uncle Carl will help cure it.

Then our newest dog isn't even blind. She's just a plain old vanilla rott-shep mix. I named her Roxanne, so she can be Roxie the Rottie. Roxie came from the library, yes, ANOTHER library animal. That makes three dogs and a cat (not including Courtney's rescues). She was chasing people around the parking lot, begging them to pet her. You would have thought a bear was loose on the property, everybody was REAL scared! So the people came and got her. I couldn't let her stay in jail, so I brought her home. Right now she is really sick, because she just came out of animal control of course. It's really sad, when she wakes up she has snot in her nose *and* in her eyes. Poor baby. I cooked her a whole chicken in a big pot of salt-free soup, all night in the crock pot. Boy did that ever make her happy this morning!

Roxanne is definitely settling in. She barked like crazy at the horses, but now she pretty much ignores them. She hasn't gone for a swim yet, but maybe she will once she feels better. Here's another picture of Roxy making her GORILLA-FACE!!!!!!!
